Wi-Fi or Ethernet.

Hi, I am a newcomer to the streaming world ( MXN10 and AXN10 ) and as such I'm still learning about set up etc. I have been very pleased with the quality of the CA products, but I recently tried connecting the MXN10 to my router with an Ethernet cable to find out if there was an improvement in sound quality. I was surprised to hear a decrease in quality ( less open soundstage ) even using a relatively good quality cable. I wonder if any other CA community members have experienced this, or have I overlooked making adjustments to settings etc.? I have previously assumed that all digital signals are the same and the D/A converter has more effect on sound quality. Any suggestions/opinions gratefully received. Cheers.
