I have just bought a Home Assistant Green to organise all the smart devices in my house, and was pleased to discover that there is an excellent Cambridge Audio Integration: https://www.home-assistant.io/intetgrations/cambridge_audio/
I have a Marantz Cinema 70s connected to the analogue input of my Evo 150 using Home Theatre Bypass, and the trigger output of the Marantz connected to trigger input of the Evo 150. Home Assistant has allowed me to overcome a couple of limitations of the Evo 150 software by creating a couple of Automations:
When the Marantz switches on the Evo 150 via the trigger input, the sources is the last-used input, which could be anything, and there is no option to choose an input. Home Assistant, can automatically switch the Evo 150 to the analogue input when the Marantz switches on.
When I am watching my TV it seems obvious that I want the screen of the Evo 150 to be off. Home Assistant can automatically switch off the screen when the Marantz switches on.
When using the analogue input of the Evo 150 with Home Theatre Bypass on, Automatic Power-Down does not work (this is not a bug according to CA). Home Assistant can automatically switch off the Evo 150 5 minutes (or any other period that you choose) after the Marantz switches off if the Evo 150 has not switched off via the trigger input.
The Cambridge Audio Integration in Home Assistant is excellent and deserves to be rated as Platinum Quality.
