Hello everyone,
I recently picked up a EVO One to upgrade my desk audio setup. Over the years I have grown to like soundbars and under-monitor speakers for being at the desk.
I have used:
Razer Leviathan
BlueAnt Sound Blade
Panasonic Sound Slayer
The EVO One is a worlds difference between anything I've used at the desk. Oh man its so crisp. Games where you need sound to help understand the environment are much more accurate in their representations of whats happening on screen. The overall sound profile is very neutral too. The EVO One also handles voices really well too. Watching the news in the morning is very enjoyable (This is when im most sensitive to sounds). I do not use EQ at all.
I am very sensitive to compounded sounds. I tend to use my audio tower for background noise. Even with my main audio tower running, the EVO One adds into the atmosphere very well without everything feeling cluttered, or one device overpowering the other. I can wake up, turn on my audio tower, hit the preset button on my AXN10 to start up a playlist and then sit down in my media area and watch the news from my desk area and the EVO One cuts right through and sounds nice and clear. The other implementations I was using often struggled to properly integrate into a "noisy" environment.
I don't have any complaints. I actually didn't realize at first glance that this was a Cambridge Audio speaker product I thought it was a streamer at first until I looked again and saw it was actually a wireless speaker and bought it. I usually avoid stuff with screens.
If you're looking for a desk space audio solution, I strongly recommend the EVO One.
.. Now, back to the listening.
