Enjoy Puzzles: Completely Confused By My CXR-120

I've had a CXR-120 in a flat screen 5.0 system in my family room for nine years. This was my 2nd HT setup, my first was a 7.2 front projection system where I fabricated and installed everything myself.

I recently added a Bluetooth link device to the CXR A2 R & L analog inputs so I could play my phone over the CRX-120. I set this up on Source 2. Source 1 is my set top device (Direct TV) via HDMI to Source 1. My OLED screen is connected to the CXR via the ARC-1 HDMI Out.

I've always been plagued a bit where the CXR would always default upon start up to the TV Source, which is where we watch the streaming sources like Netflix and Amazon Prime. So even though we prefer it to default to Source 1 the D-TV box, it often wouldn't. But we'd just toggle it and everything worked. Until I did two things: installed the Source 2 Bluetooth and during the same session I hooked up a Oppo Blue-Ray player to the AUX front HDMI port.

If you still with me, none of the back of the unit ports (HDMI In 1-7) for the HDMI in would work with the Oppo. The back parts are HDMI 2.2 and the front is HDMI 1.4. Anyway and here is the gist of this story; now I cannot get any audio to work with either the Source TV or Source 1. Both are passing a video signal but on the display face it says "No Signal" and there is no audio.

I have one more clue: in the Speaker Set Up Menu, under Manual Setup it will not generate a test tone.

Troubleshooting: I removed the Bluetooth device: no change. But, when hooked up it plays music through the CXR and out of the speakers. Blue-Ray is not hooked up. I've gone through every menu choice available and cannot spot the problem. The OLED audio is set to ARC HDMI and the flat screen can toggle the CXR On and Off.

I don't understand how the CXR is passing the video signal but cannot sense the audio track for either the D-TV or the OLED. Any help really appreciated!
