I've had my 150se since May this year. I am broadly pleased with it: a few connection, problems, dropped signals, remote disconnects, switching issues, etc. but we're fine now!

I upgraded from an Audiolab and the difference in audio refinement between it and the Cambridge is clear to anyone.

Before I received my Cambridge I was concerned that the boasted 150W per channel would be too much for my mid. to large size room. I had visions of flexing the dial very little before being overwhelmed by volume. If anything, the reverse is true.

I'm driving Dali Oberon 5s, which I have never considered hard work for any amp; certainly not my former Audiolab. I find that to get a decent volume (not too load, not too quiet) I'm turning the Cambridge up to what reads 50 on the front screen. If I want to metaphorically 'blow the dust out of the cones', I go up to around 70+. To me this a big use of the amp's full capability.

I would be interested to learn what users feel is a reasonable volume number on their 150s, and what speakers they are using.

I know this is massively subjective, 'one man's ceiling is another man's floor' but it might be useful discussion. How much of the amp. is being used, how much is in reserve and how easy or hard different speakers are to drive with a 150se?

This behavior started after an update - the app didn't used to require the Google Play Store to be enabled. Is it StreamMagic or the Google Play store causing the issue, and are there any options to use the StreamMagic app without Google Play enabled? Can the update be rolled back to a version that works for me?

Thanks,

Jason
